President's Message 3.9.26

What a great start to the season with 3 victories in a row for our Senior Men’s Squad, including a 36-19 win against Wanderers away in Merrion Road with Kevin Jackson No.8 our Man of The Match. We wish them well on their strength and conditioning 4 day tour in Barcelona, and look forward to their return, well refreshed for the upcoming Leinster Senior League Final against Naas on 12^th September (TBC) in Donnybrook . 

Also we’d like to congratulate Maeve Og O’Leary on captaining Munster to victory in the Womens Interprovinial Series and to all our other Rock players involved. 

The Women’s 1st XV start their AIL campaign on 10th October at 1.30pm in Stradbrook vs Wicklow.

Best of luck to our 30 strong Squad and support team now on their Toulouse Tour. We wish them well in the Mini Competition matches against Blagnac and North Bristol.  

The Executive continue to drive exciting new initiatives to develop and improve the playing and clubhouse facilities to attract more players and supporters to Stradbrook. Currently the clubhouse roof is getting some repair work completed, with more improvements to come soon.

The Energia AIL season starts against MU Barnhall on Saturday Sep 26^th at 2.30pm in Stradbrook and lunch places are filling with already 80 confirmed attendees, so book fast! We look forward to seeing big numbers out supporting all our teams during the season. The players need our support.

This weekend sees a Club Gathering and Clean-Up Day on Saturday, 5th September at 2pm. Huge call out to Davy Rhatigan for driving this great initiative and the 68 people who have already signed up to help at it. The bar will be open to show the South Africa - New Zealand match at 4pm.

The Minis & Youths season kicks off this Sunday 6^th September and we warmly welcome back all the players and management. We wish them best of luck as they look forward to an exciting season ahead.
