We are delighted to announce that the Blackrock College RFC Annual Golf Classic will take place again this year after a hugely successful event last year.
The event will take place on Friday, 17th May in Elm Park Golf Club. It is a very important fundraiser for the Club as we continue to make huge progress on and off the field while the buzz around the Club is fantastic.
Our Senior Men are pushing hard for promotion to 1A this season after successful promotions the last two seasons. The Men’s J1s are in the top two of their league, and our U20's won their league, undefeated. Our Women are having another successful season. We have 13 players from our WAIL team who are included in the squad and panel of this year's Women's 6 Nations, and a number qualified for the Olympics in Paris this summer as well. Our Ladies Sevens team travel with real medal hopes following their recent victory in Australia. And our minis and youth teams also continue to thrive.
The golf format will be a 4-person scramble with tee times available in the morning and afternoon. The afternoon is a 2.30pm shotgun start which again will add to the buzz in Elm Park afterwards. Times in the morning will be allocated as bookings are received together with payment.
The cost per team held at the same price as last year: €600 in the morning and €800 in the afternoon. This includes green fees together with lunch and dinner including wine. We also have a dinner (including wine) option at €75 per head and we are hoping to have a significant number at the dinner for a great Club night. Additionally, you may wish to sponsor a hole at €200.
