Our Women’s 1st XV extended their winning streak with a 60–5 victory over Tullow RFC on the Blackrock College 4G. It wasn’t the prettiest performance in slippery, stop–start conditions, but the squad showed plenty of composure to secure the full five points and keep their momentum rolling.

It was also a day of milestones, with first caps for scrum-half Giselle O’Donoghue and hooker Ella Greene, while Kate Farrell McCabe, Katie O’Driscoll, and Megan Thornton all made their first AIL starts — a great sign of the growing depth within the squad.

Despite the conditions, the tries came thick and fast. Andi Murphy and Maggie Boylan each grabbed a brace, with further scores from Maeve Óg O’Leary, Lauren Farrell McCabe, Kate Farrell McCabe, Cliodhna Ní Chonchobhair, Abby Moyles, Sam Brackett, and Nikki Gibson.

It’s a break weekend ahead for the AIL side, but it’s full steam ahead for our 2nd XV as they take on Railway Union away in the Metro Cup next Tuesday at 8pm. All support welcome!
