Hello everyone,
Well, what a weekend just gone! Fantastic results for all teams over the weekend. It started on Friday with our J1 Men playing some great rugby to beat Naas in Stradbrook. They have one league game left and hopefully are coming into some form before their cup commences.
The Thirds also played on Friday night and got back to winning ways against St Mary's. All roads led to Navan on Saturday for the First team, where a big crowd with a sizeable Rock contingent were treated to another late show by the team to record a great victory against a very good Navan side. Man of the Match Dave McCarthy playing particularly well in the center. A great night was then had in the club on Saturday where the Blackrock AFC team had their big table quiz. On Sunday the Under 20's got back to winning ways with an emphatic win against Boyne RFC.
So, this week will be another very big weekend in the club. Saturday sees the Firsts take on Barnhall in a 1 v 2 top-of-the-table clash. The Women then play Belvedere immediately afterwards. At the same time the International will be on the TV screens in the club. What better way to start it all than to book a spot in the lunch. It should be a great day.
The support has just being getting better each week, so please God it can continue into these very important weeks coming up. Hope to see you this weekend!
