Hello everyone,
Well, ladies and gentlemen, fellow Rockmen and Rockwomen, the big day is almost upon us. Our Division 1B Playoff Final versus MU Barnhall is on this Saturday in Stadbrook. After a long, hard season on the pitch, the players will aim to get back to Div 1B where they were last back in the 2015/16 season.
Whilst it's been a tough season, it has also been a most enjoyable one with some fabulous performances and nail biting finishes. After narrowly losing out on automatic promotion, the team has regrouped and now has this wonderful opportunity this weekend.
Off the pitch, an awful lot of organizing has gone ahead to make the day a success for the expected large crowd of spectators that are due to arrive in Stradbrook. The pre-match meal is sold out for our biggest lunch this year and we have arranged mobile bars and food trucks to entertain all.
I suppose all that is left is to ask is that you all to try and get yourself to the game and most importantly be heard. The atmosphere at the semi-final v Nenagh was as good as anything from the halcyon years of the AIL in the 90s and we would love a repeat of that.
So as they say, only a few more sleeps left, and hopefully see you all in Rock this weekend.
