Congratulations to Manuela 'Nini' McCarthy, who celebrated 250 caps (and more) after the Women's 1st victory over Wicklow on Saturday evening.
McCarthy started her Rock and rugby career in 1997. Since then, she has been, and continues to be, a constant presence on Rock team sheets, representing both Leinster and Ireland along the way. She backed up her AIL performance on Saturday with another stellar performance on Sunday for the J's in the Leinster League away to Tullamore.
The records database can't give us Nini's exact amount of caps, but at a low estimate, she has worn the Rock jersey over 250 times in the AIL alone. She is an incredible athlete, ambassador for the club, and servant to the game. Thank you Nini, and we look forward to more in the seasons to come!
