This Saturday, Blackrock College RFC hosted Navan & Cashel RFC Under 7's, 9's & 13's, in what turned out to be a fantastic day for all involved. The weather gods were good to us, and we had perfect rugby playing conditions.
Teams arrived at 1.30pm and togged out. Cashel RFC under 13's came to play, and we witnessed a fantastic competitive match, with Cashel narrowly running out as eventual winners. Up next, the under 9's & 7's played Navan RFC. 7 matches were completed and some great skills and commitment were on show from both sides.
After the Blitz everyone headed back to the club house with over 300 kids and parents filling the function room! The parent volunteers had put on a wonderful event with Christmas tunes rocking, a great spread of cakes, sandwiches, treats and the pints flowing!! But that was not enough, so an order of 75 pizzas arrived to feed the masses!
Afterwards we moved en masse to the Aviva Stadium to watch the Leinster V Munster match, in what turned out to be a fantastic game and wonderful evening.
