Last weekend was chock full of rugby! On Saturday we saw a narrow loss by our Senior Men against Malahide in the last match of the Leinster Senior League, and a narrow win by our Senior Women over rivals Belvo in their first match of the WAIL season. Our J1s had a big win over Enniscorthy as well. Players from all three squads and supporters had a great time at Stradbrook watching Ireland defeat Tonga in the Rugby World Cup.
On Sunday, our U20's narrowly lost to the Buccaneers after a last-minute penalty, and our U13's avenged the Seniors in a win over Malahide in their first competitive league match of the season.
This weekend, our Senior Men and Women are off, but both J1 teams will play. See details below, or head over to our website for the full list of fixtures & results.
On Saturday, Ireland take on South Africa in the Rugby World Cup at 8pm. The bar will be open and the TVs will be on from 7.30pm.
Our Under 7s and 9s have rescheduled their practice to Saturday evening so parents, coaches, and kids will head to the club house after training to watch the match. Swing by to join in the fun, no ticket required. We're still offering pitchers of Asahi, the official beer of RWC2023, for just €20!
Our first AIL Lunch will take place on the 14th October when our Senior Men will take on Highfield. Tickets are on sale now for this match and all other home matches through the season.
In other news, we've had a pitiful uptake for Your Club Your Country ticket sales last week. Thank you so much to the few of you who have already purchased your tickets! This is a major fundraiser every year where clubs get to retain 100% of funds raised in exchange for chances to win amazing prizes. Support BCRFC and purchase your tickets here.
Also, with all this rain, a BCRFC umbrella will keep you dry now and throughout the season on the sidelines. Use promo code BCRFC15 at checkout for 15% off before 1st October.
Hope to see you Saturday!
Cheers,
Molly
