A large crowd gathered in the Blackrock College RFC clubhouse on Friday evening for a special fundraising event.
The game show, 'Who Wants to be a Thousandaire?' was a wonderful night's success with lots of laughs throughout and even some big winners on the evening too.
The night began with a networking event, with the game show kicking off at 830pm. In keeping with the popular Millionare television program, the Thousandaire version had all the same excitement, including phone-a-friend, familiar sound effects, along with similar shouts of winning joy and even the unfortunate experience of crushing defeat that came with an incorrect answer! With nine rounds, each offering a chance to win €1000, there were several lucky winners, with no one leaving with less than €50. Not a bad nights work!
