Thursday night saw former Blackrock, Leinster and Ireland player Bob Casey back at Stradbrook. He was there to make a special appearance, presenting the 1st squad their matchday jerseys ahead of Saturday's UBL game versus Galway Corinthians.

In an effort to remind the players that the Rock jersey is much more than something just hanging up in a changing room, Head Coach Michael Carroll contacted Casey for the presentation. Carroll says "The Rock jersey has a huge history and a very bright future. I am trying to remind the players that they must earn the right to wear the jersey, and that someone will always be hungry to take it off them."

Carroll has reached out to several people who are currently involved in or have strong ties with the club to make the presentations. These guests have been from both rugby and non rugby backgrounds.
