This Sunday, 6th October, Blackrock College RFC are hosting the Eric O’Connor Cup in Stradbrook.
The festival is to honour the memory of Eric O'Connor, who was a member of the Blackrock College RFC U11's and a pupil of Willow Park School when he sadly passed away on the 15th January 2012. This is the seventh year of the festival. All proceeds raised from the day will be donated to St John's Ward, Our Lady's Hospital for Sick Children, Crumlin. To date, we have raised over €20,000.
There will be 48 teams from over 10 clubs in total playing in the festival at u11 and u12 ages. U11 will take up the morning and u12 the afternoon.
Parking in Rockford Manor school and legal parking along Stradbrook road only. Please car-pool where possible. Do not park on the grass of the housing estate opposite the club.

The tournament winner is decided not by match scores but by the accumulation of points for sportsmanship, respect for the referee, and for notable rugby moments during the games which are not necessarily tries scored.
