The Rock 1st XV beat a spirited Cashel side 24-7 at home on Saturday in the AIL division 1B Playoff Semi Final.
Rocks First try came from a great break by hooker conor Kilcoyne before a maul and Sean Coughlan forced his way over from close range. Jack O'Carroll Converted from near to the touchline. Ten minutes later the ref awarded Rock a penalty try for repeat infringements from Cashel. At halftime the score was 14-0.
Cashel came out firing in the second half but the rock defence held steady until the Ref gave them a penalty try with ten left on the clock. 14-7. Jack O'Carroll extended the lead with a penalty two minutes later before Luke hickey crossed for the try n the Video above with two minutes left.
Final Score 24-7.
