Mass of Remembrance

Updated: Nov 23, 2020

Message to Blackrock College RFC President, Simon Mullen, from the Pastoral Department Director & College Chaplain at Blackrock College, Flor Madden:

The Annual Mass of Remembrance for all members of our extended community and friends who were bereaved during the past 12 months will be celebrated by Fr. Tom Nash C.S.Sp. in the College Chapel at 7.30pm on the evening of Wednesday 25th November 2020. This Mass of Remembrance is for all the clubs and organisations associated with and connected to the College – an announcement will appear in The Irish Times tomorrow.

Given the current Level 5 Restrictions, it is not possible to attend our Mass in the College Chapel but all are very welcome to join us online as we livestream the Mass on www.blackrockcollege.com or https://www.churchservices.tv/blackrockcollege - we would be delighted if you can pass these details on to your members and the families of deceased members.

November is when we traditionally remember our loved ones who have departed this life. Scripture tells us that for our loved ones “life has changed not ended” – it can be a difficult time and we are invited to come and celebrate the Eucharist which will help support us as we grieve.

The Rugby Club is a very important part of the family which we all are part of here in the Blackrock Community. All your members are invited to join us online next Wednesday 25th November.

Your members are also very welcome to contact me directly if they would ever like a special intention or anniversary remembered in our 8.15am Morning Mass each weekday during the school term. Just let me know if any of your members would like to avail of Morning Mass and hopefully by then, Covid Restrictions will have eased and their families will be very welcome to attend.
