Joe McDonnell, R.I.P.

It is with deep regret that we inform our members of the passing of Joe McDonnell.

Joe Mac was a coach, groundsman and member of the club for 65 years, but more than that he was an inspiration & mentor to so many who passed through the club's doors over the years. A true giant of Blackrock rugby, Joe will be remembered by all for his total commitment to the club. It’s a very sad day for all who knew Joe, he was Blackrock to the core.

Our sincere condolences go out to Joe’s family, including his daughters, Gwen, Edwina and Vicki, all who played for Blackrock College RFC.
