Match Report: Women V St Mary's

Rock were looking to keep momentum after the week off and push on towards the top of the table.

Despite a slower start than they would have liked, Rock opened the scoring with a try out wide from winger Roisin Crowe.

The second score came after some applied pressure from the Rock forwards on the Marys 10m line. Flanker Grace Kelly ran a great line to jink in and score left of centre. Try converted by Hannah O'Connor.

The third try of the evening came after some silky handling down the left hand side with an initial turn over from Hannah O Connor who then powered straight through on the break. Offload to Ali Coleman who, flooded with support from Holohan, Taite and Delaney who eventually released Maeve Óg O'Leary to cap off a lovely counter attack. Winger Ray Lawless made it the bonus point try with a beautiful cutting line to open the defence and dot down.

After half time, Ali Coleman made it 5. O'Connor stole a line out on Rocks own 5m line. Crowe with a break. Taite then released Coleman to canter away and cross the white wash.

Amy Cotter scored her first Rock try with an opportunistic take - applying pressure and forcing a Marys mistake on their 5m line. O Connor with the extras. Maeve Og O' Leary got her second of the night. Running a hard line off Rock line out. Converted by O'Connor .

The scoring was finished off by O'Connor who from a grubber chased down the Marys 15- and an unsealed ruck allowed her to come through and reach for the line. 48-0 the final score.
