Match Report: Women v Cooke

Game started at a fast pace. Rock dominating the opening exchanges in Cooke half. But it was Cooke who opened the scoring with the games opening try.
Rock built back into the game and responded with pressure . Good carries from Hannah O Connor and Judy Bobbet in the pack gained yardage while Michelle Claffey and Jackie Shiels got things ticking in the backs.

Second half. The wind was strong and on Rocks back which they used to their advantage. Spending almost the whole half pinning Cooke down in their half and 22m .
Off a low driving scrum Niamh Griffin utilised her backs before jinking in to dot down. Converted by O Connor. 5.10.

Pressure kept on . Rock scored try number 3. A strong carry from O Connor who did well to juggle and hold on to the ball from a crunching tackle - allowed 10 Shiels to whip a pass to Ali Coleman who crashed over for her second in 2 games. Unconverted. 5.22
Ill discipline in the last quarter gave Cooke a foothold and after numerous penalties awarded they scored out wide.

Disappointed not to bag the bonus point but happy to get 8 from a maximum 10 points over the weekends.
