Wegians opened the scoring in a sunny Stradbrook with a good break away try against the run of play. 0.5
Off a strong restart Rock worked their way down the left hand side. A strong run by Hannah O Connor gained some yards and had Wegians on the back foot which allowed scrumhalf Niamh Griffin to release debutant Caoimhe Molloy to drive over and dot down despite heavy pressure from two Galway forwards- for her and Rocks first try. 5.5
A penalty added another three from the boot of O Connor. 8.5
Wegians as you would expect answered back strongly and after a Rock error they capitalised with some good interlinking play to secure their 2nd try of the game. 8.10
Rock rallied and marched into the opposition half before Captain Michelle Claffey showed some lovely jinking footwork to break through the defence and seal Rocks second try under the posts

Another penalty was notched on shortly after by O Connor. 18.10
Just before half time it was great to see the speed of Eimear.Corri on show. A nice team try as the backs worked a move off a secured line out. Converted again . 25.10 at half time.
Wegians started strongly. Earned a try out wide. 25.15.
An excellent try off the scrum saw no. 8 O Connor link up with Griffin at 9 who released winger and newly Leinster capped Ray Lawless who turned on the afterburners to cross over the whitewash. 32.15
Another debutant Laura Delaney then got in on the act with a great 80m intercept to make the scores 37.15
Wegians answered once again. Penalty allowed them to camp in the Rock 22 and hands out wide saw them seal their losing bonus point.

Final act saw Ali Coleman take her opportunity after a nice blindside gap was spotted. Hands out from Claffey at 10 and Coleman showed no rustiness after the lengthy lay off to stamp her come back on the game.
