Div 7 Beat Seapoint
The morning rain shifted and turned to sun as the Div 7 took on seapoint in Kilbogget Park.
Seapoint scored first with a penalty after 15 before a superior Rock scrum created a try for Dave Fenn. TT converted. Point got a try back before Rock then extended the lead with a Karl Moroney try, 14-8 at half time.
Rock came out firing in the second half and extended the lead to 26-8 with a fantastic Rex Ingram try that I take full credit for. Some great counter rucking got us the turnover before some excellent forwards and back interplay for Rex to get selfish and risk the try by not passing back to me until he eventually barely grounded it.

Rock should have extended the lead but the Seapoint defence held firm.
Seapoint then threw a cushion to the wind to put the upperhand on the other foot and went all out in attack using the width of the pitch to their benefit. Rocks defence held firm, some great mark Burke and gav lumsden fridge tacking, but eventually fatigue began to show, we started the game with 14 players and a second row on the wing, and the relentless Point pressure eventually found a way through.
Time was not on their side however as the ref blew up for full time with the score at 26-25.
We're already looking forward to the return leg in Stradbrook.
