Rock Royal Rumble Recap

The 6th of April was Blackrock College RFC's 2nd Annual Rock Royal Rumble. It was the culmination of months of hard training by all the boxers and their efforts were on display for a massive crowd in the main hall at Stradbrook. Thanks to all the Rock members and supporters who turned out to cheer on the brave fighters and a special THANK YOU to organisers Tom Taaffe and Justin Murphy for all their hard work behind the scenes and in the ring! Vincennes Delegates Visit Stradbrook

As part of the city of Blackrock's twinning partnership with Vincennes, France, representatives from both the Blackrock Business Network and the French delegates, including the mayor and the President of the Vincennes Rugby Club, visited Stradbrook on Friday. Conor Cleary provided an in-depth tour of the grounds and facilities, along with a brief history of the club. Thursday saw the official signing of the twinning agreement between the two cities take place in Dun Laoghaire, with a formal reception that followed. U10s Wilmslow Tour

Last weekend Rock's U10s traveled to Manchester for the Wilmslow Rugby Festival. The boys enjoyed a weekend of sport and camaraderie - a well-deserved trip for the 55 boys who traveled after months of Sunday morning training in Stradbrook. The Aer Lingus flight EI204 to Manchester was a special treat for the 30 boys on board, with pilot and parent Karl O'Neill arranging special boarding on "Green Spirit", the Airbus A320 that the Irish Rugby team travel on. U11s at the Seapoint Rugby Festival

Some images from Suday's Blitz at Seapoint Rugby Club in Kilbogget Park. It was an action-packed, fun filled day for Rock's U11s and the boys were thrilled to participate with so many other clubs from around the country. They lads were also delighted with the opportunity to meet Leinster's Andrew Porter and Ed Byrne.

Rock Minis at Good Friday Festival

Big shoutout to all the Rock minis teams who joined 1,200 boys & girls on Good Friday at Shannon RFC in a fantastic rugby festival! Dozens of Rock players made the journey to Coonagh, and enjoyed a great day out playing against teams from all over the country.

Kicks and cards make the difference! A day that saw the biggest crowd of the year at Stradbrook. Easter weekend, with the sun shining THE PLAYOFFS were upon us. The wrong end of the table, but these are the games you remember as a player and a club member. The rock management, coaches and players had left no stone unturned during preparations, knowing that for Sligo RFC, this would be the biggest game in their clubs history to date. This year we are pleased to welcome 2 guest speakers, Gordon D'Arcy and Darren Cave. Gordon D’Arcy is Ireland’s longest serving rugby player with an impressive international career that spanned over 15 years. A stalwart of the Leinster Rugby team, Gordon lined out 257 times to become their most capped player (including 104 European Cup matches), scoring 60 tries for the blues along the way. James Blaney Appointed as New Blackrock College RFC Head Coach

Blackrock College RFC are delighted to announce the appointment of former Terenure AIL Coach and Leinster, Munster and Ireland A player, James Blaney as the Head Coach of the Men’s AIL team for the coming season. Blaney began his professional playing career at Leinster in 1994 before joining Munster in 2000, where he spent 5 seasons with the province during which Munster became Heineken Cup Finalists in 2002 and Celtic Cup (now Pro 14) Winners in 2003. After a professional playing career working with some of the best local and International coaches in Irish rugby, Blaney spent the last 15 years coaching at Terenure College RFC following a transition to coaching in 2006 as Player Coach and th

BOI Leinster Rugby Summer Camp Returns in August

The Bank of Ireland Leinster Rugby Summer Camp returns to Stradbrook August 12th - 16th. This camp provides boys and girls (aged 6-12 years) with a fun-filled week of rugby during the summer holidays. The camp is focused around maximising enjoyment and learning to play the Leinster Way. Ladies Lunch 2019 Highlights

Stradbrook was looking unusually glam on Friday the 22nd of March, as Blackrock College RFC once again played host to our annual Ladies Lunch. With over 170 guests, it was a superb day of fashion, food, friends, and plenty of fun! Guests were greeted to a prosecco reception before they entered the gorgeously decorated main hall. They were also treated to talented musicians- singer Shóna Henneberry, and trumpeter, Niall O'Sullivan. A quick welcome from President Pappy Burke and a prize giveaway of D.E.C.K by Decollage goodies to 17 lucky guests started the event off with a bang!
