Blackrock Go To Wilmslow

Blackrock College RFC once again travelled to represent the club at the Wilmslow Wolves Festival of Rugby at Manchester. The qualifying dates of birth are different in the U.K. than in Ireland, hence a number of our U10 boys qualified to play as an U9 squad under RFU and tournament rules. Therefore we were represented by one U9 squad and two U10 squads. Our U9's played four matches in their league and did fantastically well against some great opponents whilst winning three matches and only losing one! We had two U10 squads travelling and they were placed in separate pools. The Blue team won 2 pool matches, drew one and lost one to finish second in their pool and qualifying for the Bowl Semi

Bright Lights Tag

The Bright Lights Tag Festival is on in Stradbrook this Saturday, teams are asked to be there for 10am with Kick off at 10.30am. All proceeds from it go to Pieta House and Aware to aid the awareness of Bipolar disorder, depression and suicide. We will be holding a silent auction with, amongst other items a Signed Irish Rugby Jersey (kindly sponsored by Cadbury) and a Signed by 2016 Pro 12 Winning Connaught Squad Ball (kindly sponsored by Mazda) Playball will be onsite from 11am to keeps the kids entertained for the day. Playball is open to all kids 4 to 11 years old and activities include tug of war, capture the flag and an assortment of ball games. For the older adults hydration is key so
