It's that time of year and even with the challenges posed by COVID19 the rugby season is back! Training is well underway here at Stradbrook and we're all looking forward to the 2020/21 season ahead.
To those of you who are new to the club, welcome, and to those who are returning, welcome back.
The IRFU has put in place a new registration process for the coming season called Rugby Connect. This a self-registration system, as simple as creating any other online account and will be used for all aspects of player management including player transfers and most importantly team sheets
IN ORDER TO PARTICIPATE IN AN GAME OR COMPETITION, ALL PLAYERS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER THEMSELVES ON RUGBY CONNECT FOR THE 2020/21 SEASON.
Club Membership Fees 'NO SUB NO CLUB'
As you are aware there are a number of costs the club has to meet in order to get you and your teammates out on the pitch and to ensure you have an enjoyable, successful season such as:
IRFU Compulsory Player Insurance against Serious Injury (all players should also have personal injury/health insurance).
Playing jerseys, balls, bibs etc.
First-Class Gym and Strength and Conditioning Facilities
Pitch maintenance and lighting
Strength and Conditioning programs
Team socials, refreshments etc.
Plus various other clubhouse running and maintenance costs
This contribution can be made with either one payment of €175 or two installments of €90 (one when registering with the balance due on December 1st, 2020) - This is a long way short of the annual cost of each player to the club
You will not be able to proceed through the online registration process, without choosing one of these options.
We understand that in these exceptional times some players may find even the split payment challenging. How to Register
Step 1 - Click on the button at the bottom of this page to take you to the registration page, select your membership plan and then register
Step 2 - Create an account
Step 3 - Select which team you are registering for
Step 4 - Fill in some contact information and mark all the relevant fields, ensure you include any health issues which you deem necessary for the club to know.
Step 5 - You are not required to upload a picture here if you don't have one
Step 6 - Complete your chosen payment
That's it, you're done! You'll get an email confirming your registration and you're ready for the season ahead.
